The balloons leave before the sun does. You are collected in the dark, driven out to the launch field north of the city, and you watch the envelopes fill and stand up in the cold air while the sky turns from grey to rose.
Once up, the plain unrolls: palm groves, flat roofed hamlets, herds moving out for the day, and the whole line of the High Atlas catching the first light on the horizon. It is quiet up there, apart from the burner.
Every step below is a default, not a rule. Tell us what to change and we rebuild the route around you.
A driver collects you in Marrakech and takes you to the launch field, about forty minutes north of town.
Tea or coffee while the crew unrolls and inflates the balloon, then the safety briefing and lift off as the sun comes up.
Roughly an hour aloft over the palm groves, villages and fields, with the Atlas range along the horizon.
A Berber breakfast under a tent once the balloon is packed away, then the drive back to your accommodation.
